Mary Elder

Based in Seattle, Mary Elder writes feature family films and romantic comedies. After winning the Disney Fellowship in 1999, she spent 18 months in LA learning the business side of screenwriting from studio mentors, and honing her craft with established screenwriters. Upon her return to Seattle, she signed with representation and proceeded to sell two pitches to major studios. Elder has written seven scripts and made four Hollywood deals. She is currently writing a broad "guy comedy." Her first feature film, Flower Girl, has recently been green-lit by Warner Brothers.

Mark Handley

Handley co-wrote Nell, which was adapted from his play, Idioglossia. The play was developed at the Sundance Institute and performed at the Kennedy Center. It was a National Award winner at the American College Theater Festival and was produced at theaters across the country—including the Odyssey in Los Angeles, where it was seen and optioned by Jodie Foster. Mark has done rewrites, adaptations and spec scripts for producers in Hollywood and London. He is a recipient of a Rockefeller Foundation grant for playwriting, grants from the Seattle Arts Commission and a residency with the New Dramatists in New York. He adapted Jeannette Haien's The All of It, for the stage. The Good Egg, which he wrote and directed, will be distributed by Outrider Pictures.
