Employment of sound engineering technicians in the cable and pay television portion of the broadcasting industry is expected to grow along with cable internet access and on-demand video, according to the U.S. Labor Department. Increased demand for audio specialists is also forecast for the motion picture
industry.

In this eight-month program, you will learn the basic principles of audio engineering and gain practical, hands-on experience while working in the sound studio with industry professionals. The first term includes the basics of audio production, from acoustics and microphones to the recording and mixing process, with visits to local recording studios.
