Natural Science Illustration Exhibit at the Burke Museum, 17th Ave NE and NE 45th, UW Campus, Seattle July 9 - October 11.
Develop your artistic ability and learn techniques to render detailed illustrations of flora, fauna, and other biological wonders. Enhance scientific understanding through careful observation. Stimulate your imagination by visiting the Woodland Park Zoo and Seattle Aquarium, and try your hand at drawing subjects in their habitats.
What the Program Covers
- How to render form by using light, line, measure, and perspective
- Basic procedures for producing accurate scientific illustrations
- Carbon dust, color pencil, stipple pen, and ink techniques
Benefits
You will graduate with a portfolio of illustrations suitable for publication or educational exhibits. Your work will be displayed as part of a group showing at the Burke Museum.
