Java has evolved into the language of choice for many applications. It is used in most branches of computing, from smart cards to phones and super-computers. As its applications grow, so will career opportunities in Java programming.
This program is designed for experienced programmers with one to two years of recent programming experience in an object-oriented or procedural programming language. Participants are first introduced to Java in the context of object-oriented programming. They learn and gain experience in using basic syntax/features, core libraries, APIs and advanced features of the Java programming language.
The use of good object-oriented design and design patterns is emphasized throughout the program.
