Gail Dykstra

Working with digital media, databases and software materials created by researchers at the University of Washington, Dykstra manages intellectual property rights and creates appropriate dissemination strategies and business models to achieve research project goals and to develop business opportunities for commercialization of these assets. Her background includes publishing, software and competitive intelligence and product development in the information industry, technology markets and public-interest sectors. Dykstra holds a master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLS).
Mary Fabien
Licensing Officer, UW TechTransfer Digital Ventures, University of
Washington
Fabien manages copyright, trademark, patent, technical data and
performance rights relating to software, digital media, video, and
educational materials developed or acquired by the University of
Washington. She serves as the primary advisor on intellectual property
rights and contractual issues for UW Educational Outreach, and works
with other University units on various technology transfer issues.
Dave Green
Director of Business Development, Rights Services, Corbis Corporation
Green's organization, Corbis Corp., is the leading provider of visual solutions and media to the advertising, publishing, and broadcast industries. Green's role includes developing strategic relationships with rights holders to maximize licensing of media properties, and implementing licensing, marketing, and intellectual property protection strategies. In his former role as senior counsel, he implemented the image industry's most technically advanced and highly publicized copyright compliance program, which earned Corbis the prestigious InfoWorld 100 Award in 2003 for combining leading technology with legal strategy to profitably combat media piracy. Green is a co-founder of the Copyright Society's Pacific NW chapter, and speaks frequently to attorneys, business leaders, and artists on intellectual property topics.
Cris Leffler
Associate, K&L Gates
Leffler practices intellectual property law, focusing on patent and trademark litigation. He has been engaged in a wide variety of industries and technologies, including: semiconductor architecture, chipset design, interactive gaming software, computer mouse functionality, pharmaceutical delivery systems, cryogenic blood storage systems and electronic payment methods. Leffler obtained a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law.
C. Rachal Winger, Ph.D.
Associate, Sheppard Mullin
Winger represents domestic and international clients in intellectual property procurement, counseling and litigation. She has particular experience with technological developments in the fields of neuroscience, molecular biology, pharmaceuticals, medical products and devices, and related methodologies. Winger obtained a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her graduate work examining immune system effects on the central nervous system was the basis of an Individual National Research Service Award from the National Institute of Mental Health.
