Applications for the 2008 Summer Intensive are now being accepted and will be reviewed in the order they are received starting March 1 through June 6, 2008. After June 6, 2008, you are encouraged to call 206-685-8936 or e-mail us to learn if a program is still accepting applications. International students need to submit applications by April 25, 2008, to allow time for processing the I-20 for the student visa.

I wish to apply to the UW Business Administration Summer Intensive Certificate Program. I enclose this completed form with a $50 nonrefundable certificate program fee and two stapled application sets, which include a résumé, a copy of my college or graduate school transcript and my letter of application. The letter of application should be no longer than 500 words and address the following questions: (a) Why are you interested in completing this intensive program? (b) What are the unique strengths, talents and skills that you bring to the program? and (c) How do you believe completing this program will help you attain your personal and professional goals? (International students may need to submit additional information.)


International students:

Due to increased visa application regulations, we strongly recommend that you apply for your student (F-1) visa as soon as possible, by April 25, 2008 at the latest. Please e-mail us if you would like a Request for I-20 Form sent to you.

All international students, even those who are already in the U.S., must request a Request for I-20 Form for this program once they are officially admitted (please call 206-616-9846). This program is an intensive, full-time program with courses taught at a graduate level. Non-native English speakers must provide documentation for one of the following to demonstrate English language proficiency and to be able to register for the program.

  • A TOEIC score of at least 750
  • An IELTS score of at least 6.5
