Refine your fashion voice and create a plan for reaching your target audience with your unique fashion line. This certificate program will help you to analyze the work of successful designers, especially those whose aesthetics and goals resemble yours, and to build on this knowledge to enhance your own existing body of work and to stand out as an individual designer. You will then learn the steps that any designer must take to move from concept to practice and production, to making your line a reality. You will learn about making key decisions on the nature and sourcing of fabrics and other materials, costing, sample making, construction processes, and distribution. Finally, you will learn to put together a marketing plan that will bring your work to the attention of the markets that offers you the best possibility of success.
Is This Program Right for You?
This program is meant for those who already know how to construct garments or accessories but want to refine their design skills and develop a plan to identify and reach the best market for their work.
