To qualify for a Global Supply Chain Management certificate, you must successfully complete three required courses:
- GSM 501 (Autumn), GSM 599 (Winter) or OPMGT 443 (Autumn)
- GSM 502
(Spring)
- GSM 600
(Any quarter)
Students admitted into the program have up to one year to complete the coursework. However, the program coursework can be completed in as little as 6 months. GSM 600 must be taken either concurrently with GSM 502 or after completing the other two required courses.
Extension students admitted into the program take these courses for continuing education unit (CEU) credit rather than University of Washington graduate credit. Grading is on a "successful complete"/ "unsuccessful complete" basis. To earn a successful complete in a course, extension students must satisfactorily complete homework assignments, attend at least 80% of the classes and actively participate in class activities. Students who receive an unsuccessful complete in a course may not continue taking courses in the program.
Program participants are given priority in placement into these graduate courses on a space available basis.
Courses may be taken in any sequence with the exception of GSM 600 which must be taken either concurrently with another course or after completing the other two required courses. OPMGT 443 must be taken as single course enrollment.
Interested in taking a single class? Some courses (designated by a
below) may be open on a space-available basis to professionals who are not seeking the certificate. See Single-Course Enrollment for details.
