Juan Carlos Arevalo Baeza (JCAB)
JCAB is a senior software engineer at Microsoft, where he works enhancing the Xbox 360 SDK. Previously at Microsoft he worked in various Xbox-related projects, like Xbox 360 backwards compatibility and high-definition codecs, and assisted 1st party developers of Xbox games like Fable and Forza Motorsport. Before Microsoft, he worked at independent developer, Ronin Entertainment, making 3D graphics engines for Windows games. Juan Carlos has been making games for 20 years, his first published game being Stardust, in 1987.
Dan Chang
Chang works at Nintendo of America assisting developers who are making games for the Nintendo platforms. He learned from some of the best while working at Insomniac Games, Humongous Entertainment, Boss Game Studios, Virgin Games and Microprose. His published credits include Spyro 2 PlayStation, Backyard Skateboarding PC, Backyard Baseball GameCube and Spider PlayStation. Chang has been programming games, mentoring programmers and managing programmers for over 18 years.
David Koenig
Koenig is a software developer with The Whole Experience in Seattle where he serves as the primary network code engineer. Prior to WXP, David was a senior software engineer at Lithtech, where his responsibilities ranged from handling licensee training to implementing HLSL support in the Jupiter engine. He is a contributing author to the Game Programming Gems book series. David graduated with a B.S. in Computer Engineering Technology from the University of Houston.
Steve Rabin
Rabin is a senior software engineer at Nintendo of America, where he researches new techniques for Nintendo's next generation systems, contributes to SDKs, and supports Nintendo developers. Before Nintendo, Rabin worked primarily as an AI engineer at several Seattle start-ups including Gas Powered Games, WizBang Software Productions, and Surreal Software. He organized and edited the AI Game Programming Wisdom series of books and has over a dozen articles published in the Game Programming Gems series. Rabin has a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington, and is currently pursuing a master's in computer science.
