Ingrid Emerick
Ingrid Emerick is the author of City Walks Seattle: 50 Adventures on Foot (Chronicle, 2009) and the co-author of The Pocket Guide to the Afterlife
(Bloomsbury, 2009), Intentions + Goals (Hartley and Marks, 2009), and Marble Elvis (Running Press, 2008). Co-editor of three travel essay collections: Gifts of the Wild: A Womanıs Book of Adventure (Seal, 1998), A Woman Alone: Travel Tales from Around the Globe (Seal, 2001), and Go Your Own Way (Seal, 2007), her writing has appeared in A Woman Alone and HipMama.com. She is a co-founder of Girl Friday Productions, a book development and editorial services company, and also teaches editing at the Richard Hugo House. She lives with her husband and two children in Seattle.
Kris Fulsaas
Fulsaas is a freelance editor and proofreader, specializing in guidebooks and similar nonfiction. Her clientele includes Countryman Press, Fulcrum Publishing, University of Washington Press and Sasquatch Books. In her 24 years in the publishing field, Fulsaas has been production editor for Alaska Northwest Books, and a production manager for two travel magazines. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from The Evergreen State College.
Niquette Kelcher
Niquette specializes in Web content management and currently works for the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. She teaches "MS Word for Editors" and "The Web-Savvy Editor" for the Editing Certificate program through University of Washington Extension, of which she herself is a 2004 graduate. She is the author of the "Technology for Editors" blog at www.tech4editors.com. Niquette has a degree in Education from Western Washington University and is a member of the Northwest Independent Editors Guild and Olympia Communicators Group.
Cherie Tucker
Owner of GrammarWorks, Tucker specializes in teaching language skills to professionals. She is an international speaker, editor and award-winning writer who has been on the radio and appeared on television. Her columns on grammar and usage have appeared in local and regional publications. Tucker has a B.A. in English from the University of Washington, and extensive experience in advertising, marketing and public relations.
