The 2008-2009 program begins in September 2008. Applications are now being accepted and will be reviewed in the order they are received through July 27, 2008. After July 27, 2008 you are encouraged to call 206-685-0606 or e-mail us to learn if a program is still accepting applications.

I wish to apply to the UW Business for International Professionals (Autumn-start) Certificate Program. I enclose this completed form with the following:

  • $50 nonrefundable certificate program fee
  • My résumé
  • Letter of application
  • Proof of satisfactory English proficiency (see Admission Requirements)
  • $300 nonrefundable tuition deposit (charged if the applicant is accepted to the program)
  • If applying for an I-20, a statement or document (issued by a bank or other financial institution) confirming financial support for tuition, fees and all expenses during your time in the program. This financial statement should show a balance of at least $7,200.

I wish to have my Visa Eligibility (I-20) form sent via Express Mail, and agree to pay the $40 fee.


Note: It is the applicant's responsibility to make sure that all required materials are submitted with the application. All applicants will be evaluated on the basis of materials submitted.

Health insurance is expensive in the U.S. If you have an F-1 visa, you are required to have medical insurance. Our school provides insurance to students who do not have coverage.

If you are accepted into the program, we will send you a Visa Eligibility form (I-20), which you must take to the American Embassy or Consulate in your country to request your entrance visa to the United States. Due to variations in mail delivery to different countries, you may not receive a response to your application for four weeks or more.

Check in U.S. funds made payable to the University of Washington. (Returned checks are subject to a $25 service fee.)
