The University of Washington, established in 1861, has over 140 academic departments with hundreds of degree programs, many of which are highly ranked nationally. As a research university, it is ranked 20th in the world.

UW Educational Outreach has partnered with the University of Washington's School of Pharmacy to bring you this Biomedical Regulatory Affairs degree program. The UW School of Pharmacy is nationally recognized as an innovative leader in pharmacy education, scholarship and research. Our students are among the best and the brightest and continue to be an influential force long after graduation.

Your studies will take place in the greater Seattle area, one of the United States' most popular cities to visit. Located between the shores of the Puget Sound and the foothills of the Cascades, Seattle boasts all the attractions of a major city and is consistently ranked among America's best places to live and work.

The Seattle area is also at the forefront of the biotechnology industry. Over 400 companies and organizations are members of the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association (WBBA). According to the WBBA annual report, "The biotechnology and medical device industry in Washington directly employs nearly 20,000 people, with indirect employment exceeding 55,000." Estimations have also put the number of clinical trials at any given moment in Washington State at around 4,000. Such an environment fosters biotechnology-related research, development and manufacturing supported by first-class educational institutions, and makes Seattle an ideal place for professionals in the field.
